Dina Burgess Originally from the Orkney Islands off the far north coast of Scotland, Dina has been a radio journalist for over 10 years. She moved to Hampshire in 1994 and has worked for several local radio stations including Kestrel FM in Basingstoke, 107.4 The Quay in Portsmouth and 107.2 Win FM in Winchester where she was News Editor before becoming a presenter on the Breakfast Show for several years. She has also been a broadcaster and researcher for a variety of different shows on BBC Scotland and Radio 4 as well as working behind the scenes on BBC1’s Panorama. In addition to her radio work, Dina is a film and entertainments journalist and regularly interviews celebrities from Natalie Portman to Shane Ritchie. This also means she gets all the latest behind the scenes movie gossip, which she may share with you if you ask nicely, as well as being able to see films before they come to our cinemas. When not working, Dina is a self-confessed telly addict, loving all things sci- fi in particular, and like Meadows is a huge Dr Who fan. She also enjoys stand up comedy (watching not performing), swimming and walking. She can usually be seen walking past Rookesbury Mill with a rucksack full of shopping on her back as part of her daily attempt at keeping fit. An animal lover, she is currently owned by two opinionated and very vocal cats. Dina moved to Andover 4 years ago and is delighted to be working on the town’s first, badly wanted radio station. She is looking forward to bringing you up to date local and national news every morning, keeping you informed of what’s happening across the globe as well as covering the stories that matter closer to home and reaching the newsworthy parts of Andover that other radio stations simply don’t reach.
