More lives will be saved in North West Hampshire by a vital charity, so long as the money keeps coming in.
That's the message from the county's Air Ambulance appeal, as they remind us of exactly how much it costs to keep the helicopter flying each month.
No help comes from the Government to run the Thruxton airfield based service, and it takes £92,000 every four weeks for them to stay in the air.
Sherie Williams Ellen from the fundraising team says they do get a lot of help from the local community and businesses, and it really is an essential lifeline: "A land ambulance will take you to the nearest hospital, but the air ambulance will take you to the most appropriate hospital for you injury, and they can do it with more speed.
"Not that the land ambulances don't do a fantastic job, because they do and all our emergency services do a fantastic job, but just that little bit of extra time can make all the difference."
