An Andover businesswoman is bucking the trend by opening up a new shop in the town centre.
Mandy Hobson and Andover Sound's Adrian Clarkson cut the ribbon at Cherished China on Bridge Street this morning, offering a different service to what's been seen in Andover before.
The shop gives people an opportunity to paint their own pottery, and take part in craft workshops - and with the school summer holidays just around the corner, she thought it would be a perfect time to set up.
Mandy says Andover's a good area to do it: "I've decided to do it because I've had a business in Andover for the last four years and I think the town centre is a better place to be.
"I think there is a lot of growth in Andover, there are new houses, the town centre's being developed so I want to take the opportunity to maximise that."
