Andover's card sharks are gearing up for a new season of cribbage, and they'd like more players to take part.
The town's Crib League has around 19 teams signed up to play at the moment, from pubs and clubs right around North West Hampshire but organisers say there's always room for more.
The game sees two people playing each other, with a lot of maths involved, and the winner is the first to at least eight points.
Darryl Smith is the chairman of the Andover League says the games can get quite competitive: "That's part of the joy of playing crib, because you know people, you get to know them over a number of years of playing - you'll always want to beat somebody that you thought you should have beaten last year.
"We play home and away, and there's a knockout cup and a supplementary cup for those teams that get knocked out in the first round." |
