"May I publicly thank and highlight, the changing attitudes of the youngsters that use our park known locally as Vigo or Town Park? As a campaigner for changing attitudes to one of being grateful … I would be failing in my duty, if I didn’t bring it to the attention of the wider community the staggering improvement to this local facility of ours. The youngsters some go to infants, junior, senior, Schools, others go to college, or on a break from Uni, some are unemployed others are here on holiday, but what they all have in common is this great need now to clear up after themselves ~ and fill the bins with their rubbish as they exit this park. I truly believe that we should thank and highlight and commend, yes even, celebrate good behaviour. Whilst still trying to understand and be tolerant of those that may not be as enlightened and possibly still labour under the misconception that the council are paid to clear up after them: I therefore wish to publicly applaud all those that visit Vigo Park and to personally thank them for continuing to do their bit for their local community… I know as I have spoken to many early morning dog walkers, that they too have noticed an improvement~ As this is all about proclaimg good news~ well this is Good News~ hopefully it will spread to other parts of the town???

Those pictures captured for me anyways, memories from when this was a normal every day occurrence. I well remember smoke billowing over the bridge, as the train went under, on its way through to Salisbury and beyond.
