The power of Joanna Lumley is being felt in Tidworth as four retired Gurkha soldiers open up their own business.
The group has launched the Gurkha Variety Store on Station Road which sells food products from around the world.
They've been supported by local groups, including ‘Plain Action', who helped them get up and running.
Toi Thapa is one of the directors and told us how it felt: "I'm very pleased that quite a lot of people could come. All the directors are really surprised! It was just a dream for us but now it's happening and everyone is full of joy at the moment."
The shop was opened by the Deputy Garrison Commander in Tidworth. Colonel Simon Ledger said he was delighted to see what they've done: "Not only does it show great initiative by four retired Gurkha Rifles but also it shows that as a result of the legislation change last year these people, who have served us so loyally over many hundreds of years, now have an opportunity to put something back in British society."
