Grant Connolly of Rooksbury Mill Court says:
22:43  on  Monday 11th July 2011
"Hi everyone, I would just like to report on a recent tragic event, where our 15 month old lovely black german shepherd died from multiple bee stings that swarmed all over her and into my house. Thankfully my daughter was at school. My wife was stung 16 times. These bees are kept in an unconrolled state by an irresponsible neighbour. The hives are not only adjacent to our communal garden, very close to a public footpath in Rooksbury Park, which, at this time of year is very popular with families and dog walkers alike. Nests have been found in the trees in the garden, AWAY from the hives. There are NO fences to stop uncontrolled access. Clearly an over-population issue. We have set up an electronic petition to the council asking for the hives to be relocated to a more suitable environment and to be looked after by qualified persons. http://ipetitions.com/petition/gsd_sara_andover.The over-population and hotter weather we are experiencing increases aggressive tendencies in these bees. I do not want anyone else to suffer an unnecessry and preventable loss. Please could you highlight my story? The council, police, environment, dog wardens and other organisations are aware of this incident. Thanks for your time, Regards Grant "

I walked my dog and children down to the park last monday and managed to count 14 piles of it just from the bridge to the bottom corner. Its disgusting. something really needs to be done about it."

Grebo of Andover says:
20:32  on  Tuesday 3rd May 2011
"@ Manuela, any ideas who we can contact at TVBC to get the Anton cleaned up? I recently walked it from Town to Upper Clatford and it's choked full of litter, weeds and trees. I guess it's not high on anyones priority list with money to be spent on such important projects as a new bandstand! However it is still an important river that has been sorely neglected. I'd be more than happy to don waders and help out as required as would others i'm sure."

"I have to say a big thank you to Emma Wykes who as the senior environmental officer is the person that seems to be primarily responsible for the Love Where You Live, Campaign. Since this campaign started I have been busy sending her photographic evidence of graffiti on walls, copious amounts of litter in a stream, and of course discarded trolleys in rivers. As well as talking to any dog walkers that I come across. I have been utterly astounded, by the speed in which the Clean Team have come along and cleared away rubbish that I myself had been unable to do. On Tuesda I sent her a photo of tins bottles and other stuff in a stream that was stagnant with what appeared to be an oil slick too… Within hours it was all cleared away. I think praise where praise is due. Well done to all at TVBC who are operating the Love Where You Live Campaign. "

"Ryan your comment does not say how old you are or which location in Andover you are refering to? If you are going out picking up stuff do please use disposable gloves and/or a litter picker... TVBC will happily supply the litter pickers... For more information on what to pick up and what possibly not to, click onto www.attitudeofgratitude.co.uk and then click onto, Ryan....Think Safe... In the mean time Thank you for doing your bit Ryan... "

And as you said testway just dont want to know there children are out all times of night rubbish all over the square and the words they come out with well for a child of 8 would have been over my knee with a good smacking . Some how i dont think testway really wants to know they have had letters from 6 of us in square but just turn a blind eye WHY ? there testway tenants."

"fed up of admirals way, i to live the same place you live. what is rong with children playing, screaming and shouting that is what thay do, have you forgotten what it was like to be a child. they are not destroying plants, trees, deface walls and so on, they don't loiter there is a bag on a fence for that which they us. they are not demons they are nice children. you make out thet they are evil, if you bothered to get to now them they are nice and polite, instead of moaning about them work with them, talk to them you would be surprised. if you can't then as tom said go away."

Tom of Admirals way says:

"Fed up of Admirals Way, firstly the kids you are complaining about are no older than 12. there is a parent supervising 90% of the time as i regularly walk past the area your on about. Yes they shout and scream, but love there in by 7pm, just for when your soaps start. I am one of the older lot and we go to the field so get your facts right before you moan. the kids arent even old enough to go down the park half of them. so please go away"

Southern Boy of Andover says:

"@ Bucks, that is just to good an idea to be used, a free collection day a collection point. NO TVBC in trying to save money stopped a valued service, and only for council tenants, dont the rest of us pay council tax then. They then moan about how much this fly tipping is costing to clear up. @ Emma TVBC - a good idea has been put your way - use it, if there is no excuse to fly tip then people with report others. take away the reason for fly tipping by having a free collection at a collection point and problem half solved and probably a lot cheaper. "

"What skunk has stunk Andover out? The smell is awful!!!!! Surely causing this un-environmental friendly odour is illegal. Who ever is responsible should be prosecuted. What are TVBC environmental health doing about this? Who ever you are, (and you know who it is), you should be ashamed of youself. "

"can i just point out to anon (KAW) that the free collection only applies to those claiming some sort of benefit / income support, I was last charged £68 to take away 5 items that couldnt fit in a car, to top it all I had to help carry the items because the council worker was on his own"

"I live in Saxon fields, and i regularly take my dog for a walk through the nature reserve or shall i say 'dump' the river is filled with litter!! This is suppose to be a nice area for people to walk in and enjoy the natural wildlife - but that it is not!! Also the amount of owners which do not pick up after there dog is disgusting!! You have a dog its your responsibility, pick up after it!!!! "

Bucks of King Arthurs way says:

"Couldnt agree more ANON. Also free collection from the council is only available for council resendents. I bet theres a few who privatley rent or own there own house of KAW who fly tip for this reason! "

anon again! of king arthurs way says:
14:12  on  Friday 4th June 2010
"After just writing that last comment, i phoned up for a collection. It seems things have changed, you are now only allowed to have TWO items picked up TWICE a year, and they wonder why people fly tip, get a grip tvbc , youve probably just gone and made the situation a LOT worse. I guess we will be seeing plently more tv.fridges, bags, rats on this estate in the near future "

anon of king arthurs way says:
13:56  on  Friday 4th June 2010
"its all very well having these services available from tvbc,BUT you HAVE to have transport to get your rubbish, I myself have this luxery but many people on kaw do not. You also fail to point out the FREE collection is for 10 ITEMS only , every 60 days, when most people clear a room its more than ten items. Yes twice is nice is a very good idea, and my father used it himself when he was housed, but the items here have to useable, its fly tipping RUBBISH we are more concerned about. I and im sure many others would agree there needs to an area that people on this estate can take thier RUBBISH, on maybe a fortnightly basis on the estate ready to be picked up. "

Emma Wykes of Test Valley Borough Council - Environmental Services says:
16:58  on  Tuesday 1st June 2010
"There are several ways in which residents can dispose of their waste in the correct way. Waste can be taken to the Civic Amenity Site (Local Dump) on Walworth Industrial Estate free of charge for all householders. You can contact the Council for a Bulky Waste Collection from your home or contact Testway Housing to take advantage of their 'Twice as Nice' scheme. If you choose to dispose of your waste via a private contractor we encourage you to check that they are licensed to take your waste and that your waste will then be taken to an appropriate site for disposal. Test Valley Borough Council take fly tipping very seriously and the Environmental Services Team investigate all reports of fly tipping that are received by the public. If the fly tip has been witnessed then we encourage individuals to make a statement so that a full investigation can take place a the view to prosecute. We need residents to come forward and let us know who is carrying out the fly tipping so that the appropriate action can be taken. you can visit www.testvalley.gov.uk for more information on how to dispose of your waste correctly or to report a fly tip. "

Fed up of Admirals Way says:
15:56  on  Thursday 20th May 2010
"I live right by the main car park on Admirals Way where there is also a marrow strip of grassed area. Unfortunately, this small area is usually invaded by EVERY child/teenager on the estate who play ball games which invade gardens/bash onto cars and property, scream a lot (a VERY lot), destroy plants, trees, deface walls, pavements, throw any kind of implement they can lay their hands on and loiter menacingly (yes, menacingly, even the younger ones) swearing and generally making a nuisance of themselves. I wish I could pick my house up and put it somewhere more pleasant to live. If only they had a little respect for people, life would be better. Yes, yes, I know, kids will be kids (as someone is bound to reply) but these are not nice, polite children - more like little demons."

anon of king arthurs way says:
22:35  on  Wednesday 19th May 2010
"yes i agree with the comments about king arthurs way and the fly, tipping , nothing has worked so far. More recently fire crews were putting out a fire on a well known "fly tipping" part of kaw, something needs to be done ,most residents here cant drive or afford to get rid of their rubbish , something needs to be done so it makes it easier for them !"

Bucks of King Arthurs Way says:
12:11  on  Wednesday 12th May 2010
"Hi, I live on King Arthurs Way on there is constanlty items fly tipped! You know the stuff, chairs old washing machines & stuff to big to put in a wheelie bin. This has been a constant issue since I moved onto the estate 6-7 years ago. Every day I see the bin men out there loading stuff up on there truck, why cant the council arrange a collection day free of charge & a collection point for this stuff? Nothing else has working so far & many cant afford to hire a man & a van or havent got there own transportation. Everyone knows its ilegal to fly tip but it hasnt had any impact on the problem & I think the council need to find another apporoach. "

The front garden is a mess, there are shopping trollys, pallats and various of rubbish within the front garden. It appears to be a youth club as a crowds of youths congregate there.Cigerette ends are just throwed on the path way and i am continously sweeping them up .
