And there were lots of stalls selling food, drink and crafts
There was loads for kids to do, including a mini zoo
A fair isn't complete without a coconut shy!
Popcorn and candy floss was snapped up by the public
Ben grabs a chat with organiser Leanne Hill...
...who was wearing some traditional old-tyme clothes!
Topper was there...
...with his car
James tries to interview Jeremy
James prepares to interview organiser Simon Pratt...on the carousel
Somehow...James pulls it off!
James purchases his groat...
...to go on rides everyone has to pay by groat currency!
For Ben's next challenge, he gets James to ride the helter skelter and commentate on the way down
Oops
It's a long way up!
That's James on the left-hand window!
He survives the ride!
And here's a video of James on the carousel!
The Michaelmas Fair was used to raise some much needed funds for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Abulance's life saving work. The Air Ambulance is a charity relying 100% on the good will of the general public to raise the £92,000 each month that is needed to run the service. On average the helicopter, which is based at Thruxton, is called out between 3 and 6 times every day.
