Gill Nethercott Centre
The grounds of a community facility in Whitchurch are set for a makeover after complaints about its appearance.
The Gill Nethercott Centre in Winchester Road is a little overgrown at the moment so Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council are going in to make improvements.
They'll be clearing the area over the next few weeks, putting down bark chips and planting a willow tree, before they put up signs explaining to visitors about the kinds of wildlife that can be found on the site.
Eventually, there'll also be new pathways and a place where people can watch birds and other animals in their natural habitat. |
