One of Andover's most popular sports clubs has once again been enjoying reaching an important milestone.

Andover Rugby Club held a special match at the weekend as part of their 50^th anniversary celebrations.

Hundreds turned out in Charlton to watch a team made up of players from their old ground on the Walworth Industrial Estate take on players from their new base.

Sean Rule is the chairman of the club and says it's been great to mark the birthday: "It's fantastic! In rugby terms, we're quite a new club, so although a lot of us felt old out there, some of the guys are only in their 50s or early 60s, so from that point of view, we're quite a new club.

"But we've had a fantastic year, celebrating the anniversary."
