School League Tables
Friday 27th January 2012

Rookwood has been named the top school in our area after The Department of Education have names the country top performing schools.

The independent was placed 10th in county after 96 percent of it's students achieved five good grades in their GCSE's - excluding english and maths.

After Rookwood, the next top school in the area was Testbourne Community School, the Whitchurch based secondary was placed 32nd after achieving 70 percent pass rate.

Another Andover school to do well was John Hanson, achieving a pass rate of 59 percent, Harrow Way placed 80th in the table and Winton was the most disspointing, they came 86th, but claim the table is inaccurate.

Chris McShane Headteacher of the school said they are still waiting for the outcome of a investigtion into English results.

The claim that only 27 percent of students achieved a five good grade GCSE's is wring they say it was actually 69, and the results are undermining the hardwork of their students.

There are 88 secondary schools in total in Hampshire.
