An Andover club which helps people with disabilities to play football has been boosted thanks to footy fanatics.
Streets Ahead, the team set up by Andover New Street, raked in hundreds of pounds this weekend in a charity auction.
Nearly £1,000 was raised after items including signed shirts and photos of football stars were bid for.
The cash will also help the side's youth sides and the aim now is to get more people involved with what they do.
Martin Tobin helps run the club and says they regularly need to hold events like this: "Like any other club, we desperately need to raise funds, so my aim really is to organise some fundraising evenings.
"The other reasoning behind it is that we want to get parents and their children playing for the club, really so they can come up and see the club. My plans and intentions are to further improve what we've already got." |
