Nominations are now open for the 2011/12 Test Valley Business Awards and local companies are being encouraged to get involved.

This year's ceremony takes place in May, handed out by Meridian Tonight presenter Fred Dinenage.

There are five categories to put yourself forward for - Tourism Business of the Year, (sponsored by Test Valley Borough Council), New Business of the Year (sponsored by North Hampshire Enterprise), the Innovation and Technology Award (sponsored by Southampton Science Park), Employer of the Year (sponsored by Kier) and Small Business of the Year (sponsored by Hampshire County Council)

Closing date for nominations is January 31st, but businesses that send in applications early can be entered into a prize draw to win a personalised video for your companies.

They're valued at more than £600 and can be used by the winners on their website to highlight what they do, professionally written and produced.
