"Hi Anon of Andover! I myself and at least 6 other people heard a report on the local news while I was sat in the hairdressers in Andover a couple of weeks ago, they were all talking about this smell over andover and this is how I know it had come from a farm in Abbots Ann,the report was by the farm owner himself,he said he doesnt know where on his farm it is coming from and it will go away in time! Unless myself and the other people in the hairdressers imagined this radio news report this is where its from!"

"Re The smell over Andover "can tell the owner where it is coming from its come from your Cows bums!" As someone who works on a farm I can tell you that that smell was sewage ... Human waste Not silage or the "usual stuff" spread on the fields. It would not have been by accident and the land owner knew it was sewage ... I for one would like to know who it was, why and the implications .. Human sewage does not re juvinate the soil, its a cheap way of clearing or ridding waste material where the land owner is usualy paid to use it.. Would you want produce from their farm ? So thats it ,, I can not believe there was nothinh on the local news It rearly does need investigating .. The whole of Andover was efected and no one has been brough to blame ? What if it was smoke or noise ... Needs exposing .. "

"Hi all..The smell of the manure that you can all detect is coming from a farm in Abbots Ann,The owner said on the radio in the week that he "doesnt know" where in his farm it is coming from and that it will go away in time! I can tell the owner where it is coming from its come from your Cows bums! LOL.."

"The smell is disgusting. Its been hanging around for three days with no obvious cause. Where is it coming from? Why is there nothing on the news? Smells like some sort of major sewage catastrophe, and the Authority's couldn't care less!"

What is that smell and who is responsible and why is there nothing on andover sound news etc about it. It is absolutely disgusting. "

"Re:Hospital worker.. This country has gone to the dogs, all councils want is money, money and money from people who just want to do an honest days work! To tell you that you cannot ride on the free bus to work is pathetic, you work at the hospital so why cant u travel on the bus? To say its only for patients travelling to and from the hospital is daft,I bet some of them sat on that FREE bus can afford the proper bus fares from Andover that many of others cannot! "

A Hospital Worker of Andover says:
21:35  on  Sunday 15th August 2010
"I work part-time in Winchester hospital as an assistant so I am not paid a great deal. On phoning up to ask whether I could used the hospital bus service to get to and from work, because the Stage Coach fare is too expensive, I was told both by the driver (rudely) and the management that the bus was only for patients and it was too full to allow me to travel. I now find out that the bus was far from too full and I could have ridden on it. I would happily have paid a bit more. I'm sure I'm not the only member of staff to travel from Andover. If it happened that the bus was fully booked, then they could let any regular staff know and they could use the public transport on those days. Can this not still be run for both patients and staff? "

"Why do some parents always blame other people smoking for there child coughing and spluttering. Yesterday we took a walk to Charlton Lakes, Myself my husband and our kids and family! There was a couple with a boy age of around 4 he was drinking a fizzy drink and he drank it too quick as he began to cough and splutter, I was 5 feet from him so saw this happen. My husband who was smoking was around 50 metres behind us so as not to get the smoke in other peoples space. Then the mother of the lad said out loud "Did that cigarette smoke get in your face"? I felt like saying to her,No your child is coughing and spluttering as he was drinking his fizzy pop too quick,But I didnt want to cause a scene in front of my children. Try and get your facts right before you blame smokers. If you were watching your child drink his pop instead of being 10 mtrs in front of him you would have seen this fact!"

"So they are axing the free bus from Andover to Winchester? Thats one more arrow in the hearts of tax payers,This service is a life line for them that need hospital appointments and visits to loved ones,I am from Manchester but now live here in Andover Ive been here a year and I can tell you in Manchester, you have hospital buses every hour on the hour,Parking in our Asda carparks are free,I think if every adult stopped paying council tax they would soon be up in arms, isnt it odd when the council owes you money they fight tooth and nail not to pay you back for many months, but when you owe them theres threatening letters through your door 2 weeks after u owe them! The Government Stinks! And all the extra to line the pockets of the fat cat government workers for there christmas meals out and holidays abroad oh and there new laptop computers they are all getting soon! Great Britain we are no longer!"

"It amazes me that every year we get the same things said about Andover and nothing ever changes. The biggest talking point, the litter... if only there was as much effort put in to finding things to bring to Andover for people to do. I know that i will get the usual response, we have a cinema, we have a the lights... oh well that completes the list then. This town is summed by the fact that the old MVC shop was suppose to be becoming part of the all singing new old ford cottage site and what do we get instead a pay weekly shop. People need to accept the fact that nothing will change, Andover is scared of change and what we have is what we have. Your in a town that has eruptions other an italian restaurant in the guildhall and that getting a new drive through is worth bowing before the council for. The truth is you wanna shop for a man go elsewhere, you want things to do with your kids go elsewhere. You want to buy 7000 birthday cards, 240 mobile phones and for your kids to have nothing to do, then your in the right place."

"Having just been turned down at the swimming centre in andover (because its full), with two upset children , a bad full of swimming clothes etc it got me thinking , we all moan about andover from time to time , but it seems people are right ! This town really is a load of "beep"! There is hardly anything for parents to do with their children in the holidays.Im not going to rant on through a greta big list , but i did find out these facts today ANDOVER population 52.000 available public swimming hours monday to friday 18 hours ! ROMSEY population 15.000 available public swimming hours monday to friday 49 hours! BASINGSTOKE population 82.193 available public swimming hours 45 hours! TIDWORTH population 9.500 , i wasnt able to get details of the available hours , but even so if you do visit , and sign your children up and under 16's swim for free! I was imformed over the phone though that the opening hours in the holidays are from 9am-9pm and a good proportion of that goes onto public swimming. This town has a high population and yet its still not catered for in the way it should be , now i dont just mean swimming either ....apart from a LOT of card, phone, tacky, cheap, rubbish shops , we have sod all !"

"RE:DAVID Its called being lazy and not having respect for there own town and parks! And we are not only talking about kids on school holiday here. Theres plenty of adults that cannot make it 3ft to a litter bin in Andover town square! When they have finished there food, on the ground there rubbish goes...I say catch these people on CCTV publish there photo in the Chantry center, and name and shame them! Problem sorted.. Some kids cannot be blamed for throwing rubbish when they see there parents doing just that!"

All those groups that frequent our parks and open spaces that can haul their picnic all the way from town to the park but can't manage to collect the litter and place it in the nearest bin? "

"Well Amy, in answer to your question, this is what these pages are for 'to have a good rant', if you don't like it then I suggest that you stay away. Here's a question for you: How do YOU know that the people on here who are 'ranting' have not gone and done something about the 'rant' that is making them sit behind the computer typing their rant for all of Andover to see. Don't presume dear girl....it seems to me that you are one of the 'ranters' you are so highly qualified to offend, I ask myself why you initially came on to these pages in the first place!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Amy of Andover says:

"I am here to rant, about the rant. I understand that it "helps" some people to rant, you know, a problem shared is a problem halved, but in my opinion, if something is annoying you so much, you feel the need to rant about it, why don't you actually go and take action, instead of sitting in front of a computer rage typing. If it's not worth doing something about, then don't rant about it."

"I wonder how many parents actually care about what their children are doing when they let them 'stay out' at night, these are youngsters, NOT teenagers, and, because of the school holidays, every night this week there have been screaming kids in the Roman Way area until very late at night, hardly fair is it when people have to get up for work the next morning!!!! I can't wait for the summer school holidays.. NOT!!!!"

"I have just heard on the news that the girl who reported on the 12th May that she had been sexually attacked in the grounds of Winton School has lied and made the whole thing up.. She is a disgrace!! She should be named and shamed! If some poor guy had been dragged into this stupid story he would have been named, and his whole life ruined from one stupid silly little girls lies!! People like her make me sick,I have worked for a long time with REAL women who have had this terrible thing happen to them and she should be ashamed of herself! Hopefully she will read this and my message to you is GROW UP! Who will believe this girl if this ever did happen to her which I sincerley hope it doesnt! Crying wolf springs to mind!"

A very angry concerned library user of Andover says:
07:52  on  Thursday 20th May 2010
"OH MY GOD!!!!!! HOW IS PEOPLE LOSING JOBS IN LIBRARIES NOT A CUT TO THE SERVICE??? How dare that woman Margaret Snaith-Tempia say that "most people who come into our libraries for whatever purpose, will actually not notice a great deal of difference in the level of service". As a long term library user i would imagine that if there are cuts in staff there will still be the same amount of work to be done but by fewer staff, how are these already hardworking people meant to be able to do their own jobs plus that of their colleagues and maintain a high level of service? I know that at the moment it says there are no losses at Andover library but surely whichever libraries are included in this sad state of affairs it will have an effect through the system to Andover, thus affecting the public. Ok they may not be affecting the opening hours and not closing libraries but it will have an effect on staff morale and their workload. I realise that cuts need to be made on local services but maybe it should be made from things that people don't actually rely on as an integral part of their life and would be more understandable if we didn't see so much council money wasted on ridiculous things. I just hope that we don't lose any of the wonderful staff from Andover library. Thank you ...rant over"

"How can a Councillor think that turning up and posing for a photo and then doing nothing gives him the right to brag that he saved the shop on King Arthurs. the leaflets he is putting out are just stuff he has made up. This Councillor has more spin than my washing machine. Is he trying to prove that he is doing something. he sould try comedy he good at that and posing for photo's. he's only kidding himself"

"I would like to know why yet again not one single candidate has bothered to actually get off their backside and knock on my door to talk to me or anyone else that i know of. We mean nothing them it seems, they're quite happy to get people to put leaflets through our doors but they don't actually seem to care about what really matters to us, or are they all just frightened that we'll tell them to their faces what we think!"

"Ahh so much common sense on here, but does anyone listen. No the council seem to have deaf ears :( The entrance of Tesco / Chantry centre would not take a lot to sort out, it is a big issue for a lot of residents and quike frankly a mess .. The road outside Iceland / Wilkinsons etc. Again lets have some common sense and put a give way in? The council have already had to go back and repair the less than a year old paving? Good job done there then. Disabled parking spaces at the top of the high street, I think there are plenty already close them and put some benches in. If the high street is going to be paved then do it all and make it safe, it angers me to see these unused whilst badge holders still park on double yellows? Or do not use the whole floor they have at the car park? And yes I am elderly and happy to walk and not use a silly electric car, I am elderly not fat or Lazy! That’s something else than needs looking into. "

Also with the call for a sunday service!! why not, but make it a no concessions service where everybody pays to travel on that day, "

I too am fed up with having to walk out of the Chantry Cenre by Tesco Metro through a cloud of cigarette smoke whilst trying to dodge all the disgusting spit on the ground and hearing the foul language the younger people use when they congregate around there. I even had one young girl trying to pick a fight with me as i tutted when she stood there swearing at her toddler!! "

Both these business & parents are putting the lifes of the residents at risk in Kings Meadow and down their abusive careless parking!!!!!"

"DON BENTALL MEMORIAL ROOM, Following the death of Don Bentall who done so much for Andover the Council had a building built as a resting / waiting room and was dedicated to his memory. I go up the cemertary every week and have never seen it open, I have made enquiries why and told that it is used as a store shed for staff equipment, why if they wont a tool shed did the council not apply for PP for one. As said don done a lot for the people of Andover he probaly would have had the money better spent on the homeless. instead Andover has a got a garden store to remember him by, this is a disgrace"

"Having recently just given up smoking for health reasons why do I, and others, have to put up with a barrage of smokers outside Tesco Metro, a lot of these smokers are parents with babies in pushchairs who stand by the entrance to Tesco in groups, the same can be said for smokers who blatantly smoke in the bus shelter in Bridge Street, even when I was a smoker I very rarely smoked in the town centre or any where else in town for that matter........obviously these smokers are oblivious to any smoking laws that were brought in and if you are one of those people and you are reading this please acknowledge the fact that these laws were brought in for a reason. I can see both sides to the story of smokers (which is why I rarely smoked in town) but just because you want to smoke it doesn't mean that others want to join you so have a bit of respect and go and smoke some where away from the town centre, if you must do it!!"

"I waited 40 minutes for a star 1 bus today, they are supposed to run every 10 minutes, when the bus finally arrived there was standing room only, although one male person had decided to take up two seats with a couple of bags of shopping but was no way going to move his shopping for anyone! When I asked the bus driver about the delay in buses he let the whole bus know that it was down to the 'roadworks' at Tesco roundabout where they were filling in the potholes.......funny that........it took the same amount of time to get home which is roughly 12 minutes and there was a Star 1 bus in front of us, empty, and a star 1 bus behind us, virtually empty, where they came from I have no idea, it was like waiting for a bus in London where three come along at once all going to the same place!!!! This sort of behaviour from the bus company makes my blood boil!!!!!!"

"When are the Council going to 'properly'fill in all the holes on the roads of Andover? Tesco's roundabout and outside of Knights Enham Schools are appalling! We all pay towards these upkeeps so why isn't the money being spent on these repairs before we have to pay out even more for the damage these potholes do to our cars????"

"I agree, there are some very ignorant people in the town, the worst ones are the type that are walking in front of you and then stop! Causing you to divert quickly to avoid bumping into them, and then there are the ones who in groups of 4+ decide to stop in the middle of the Supermarket in the aisle and decide to have a conversation on swapping knitting patterns, and when you politly ask "Excuse me" to get round them, your met with a glare that says "Ignorant". I was in Asda the other day when there was 3 women all stood at the top of the travelator blocking the way chatting about a book they had all been reading,Who cares what books your reading, its a supermarket not a library?.. If you are one of these people that want to stand around all day and chat, then do it where you dont get in the way of others! IE: MOVE TO THE SIDE OUT OF THE WAY OF OTHERS AND CHAT!"

"Why are there so many rude, bad mannered people in the town? Am I invisible? I must be, seeing as I have to get out of everyone else's way. They won't move for me, I have to walk around them. And why do some groups of people have to walk with an attitude of 'tomorrow will do', at a pace that a snail would overtake while taking up the whole width of the path? Some of us have jobs to go to and want to be there on time. Just because they have all the time in the world to doodle along, (lucky them) doesn't mean to say everyone else has. I have also noted that the majority of these people fall into the under 25's category. "

"On the buses.......although I don't object to pushchairs on buses, I DO object that some bus drivers allow pushchairs in the aisle of the bus when the appropriate place for pushchairs or wheelchairs is full up. Can one of these bus drivers actually tell me how they would cope with the situation is someone tripped over the pushchair in the aisle, not everyone is steady on their feet, some have poor eye sight, some are disabled, why then was a pushchair on the King Arthurs Way route, this week, allowed to stand in the aisle where everyone getting on or off the bus had to manouvre around it, imagine doing that when you have bags of shopping and any of the disabilities stated above!!!! Health and safety springs to mind!!"

"Why is so hard for drivers to keep to the speed limit?? When it says "20 IS PLENTY" it means its 20MPH,not 30,or 40,or 50! On London Road,Andover Tuesday afternoon the 16th March at approx 14.45pm 1 car was right up the rear of my car any closer they would have been in my boot, and then others coming down the other side of the road doing more than 20 MPH,well thankfully there were 2 Police Traffic Officers doing speed checks, and they did there job when I returned down the road 15 mins later they had pulled over a car! It may have escaped the notice of many drivers that there is actually 2 schools on and around London Road that are attended by many young children,if it was one of your children or relatives that got knocked down and killed by speeding drivers would it then stop you speeding?? "

Am not a Labour fan at all and the Tory's haven't convinced me, although David Cameron's poster just looks like a campaign poster for a polish cream. I actually prefer the Tory's to Labour. Anyway, Gordon Brown, give him his due, he is really persistant (like a stain that wont go away). Does anyone like his smile ? If a stranger smiled like that to my daughter, I would lamp him one thinking he's a pedo ! The MPs' Expenses scandal - Easy, sack everyone that has abused the taxpayers money, make them pay it ALL back and get a tattoo on their forehead that reads "MP stole your money". Something completely different to finish off with - I miss Andover loads. Steve."

"Why do some people think it's ok for them not to clean up after there dogs!! This morning I saw a woman with a Jack Russell terrier on a lead on London Road with her dog,The dog doing its buisness and her just looking into the rush hour traffic,no attempt to clean up after her dog, then she just walks off, then not 10 minutes later a man with a German Shepherd dog on a lead at the edge of the children's park on London Road, Just opposite Winton School, same story the dog did it's buisness and he then walks off not bothering to clean up after it! Why do these people think they do not have to clean up after there animals make there mess? Why do they have animals when its very clear that they cannot look after them!! What can be done about this other than take photos of them and shame them,Yes they get fines when seen by the authorities, but they cannot be there 24/7...these people only think of themselfs and nobody else... A message to these dog owners I bet you would not let your dog make its mess in your house and let your family be at risk,so why do it out in public especially a childrens park! The word to describe these people is LAZY!!"

Outside the car park enterance ? There is a cycle lane and pedestrain lane from the top of the alley way there to the Sainsbury car park. They are marked red along the road. Both pedestrains and cyclist have right of way over cars.(I think they would have right of way regardless however?) "

"Jilly, firstly I'm also sorry to hear you were treated so badly by a homeless person. However, I believe that as a generalisation, most people would agree with your views. However, Have you ever stopped to ask a homeless person why they have no home and they are perhaps rude and in some cases drinking? The majority of homeless people aren't homeless because they are lazy or rude, in fact 30-50% of homeless people have some form of mental illness. And who knows what the other 50 percent could have had to deal with. Also, not all homeless people are prepared to live off of other peoples hard work, for example look at the man who sells the big issue in town, who takes his dogs and all his possessions with him wherever he goes. I completeley understand your point, but I can't help but have symphathy for people less fortunate than myself. "

"Ray,The only way these idiots who speed about in the cars are going to be stopped is if the goverment get there fingers out and change the laws and take ideas in the way they deal with them in the US! You get caught speeding there and on the first offence you get £1,000 fine,if they do not pay this in the required time they get a ban there licence gets taken off them and they have to then Re-take the driving test,If they fail it on the re-test they are never allowed to re-take a driving test again! Simple! But the Government in this country are scared to address the scroats of this country which is why the UK is in such a crime stated mess! If the UK take the same measures as the US and many other countries the crime rate here would drop a heck of alot!"

If they want a night out they should pay for it themselves not us, I see our MP although not a Testway tenant has been invited, I wander how many tenants have been invited as well, none I expect"

I know a few people parked on the main road and used the layby, but these cars never caused a problem. The yellow lines were painted on and within about 12 months or sooner the road was resurfaced and all the yellow lines repainted. I ask why all these yellow lines? "

"Jilly congratulations on saying all that publicly. Can I say, I too am approached loads of times by the unfortunate homeless people, and I never ever give money. But I will take them hot coffee, and home made food, then go back and collect plates etc. I am so very sorry that one of them was so rude to you; it spoils it for all the genuinely nice kind, people that want to offer Christian help, when one of the people wanting cash, then turns on you. The campaign that I run, was inspired by a homeless Knight of The Road that comes to our town about once a month, his name Is Max, and he is a genuinely nice guy, that ask for nothing and takes nothing... He just seeks somewhere to safe, to lay his head on his way through on his travels. A real homeless person will generally have all his worldly possessions around them. You are right on other things .. the bit about drink and cigarettes… and the fact that people are out there working hard on their behalf. "

"Natasha...Yes there are a few homeless people in and around Andover, and there are hostels in Andover one actually on Dene Road.. The fact is that half these people will not work,so feel they can just slum it out on the streets,Then they get places at the Hostels where the people who run them work very hard to make them safe, warm places for them to live give them there own rooms, meals 4 times a day, showers and washing machines, but some of them abuse the fact and end up back on the streets again! I was asked by one homeless man just last week if I had any change I was honest, and told him I had but I offered to buy him a hot fish and chip meal and a coffee,I was then met with verbal abuse from him saying he wanted money not food, then he told me to go away in a most un-polite manner first word began with an F and the second with an O,I can honestly say you show me a homeless person who hasnt a pack of cigs or a couple of cans of beer amongst there person! Every time I see them hanging around there drunk and smoking! Sorry but most homeless people have no sympathy from me! Some people do not ask to become homeless and it is not there fault and would do everything to get back into work, but some would rather sponge of others than go to work. You offer them a hot meal they throw your kindness back at you. I rest my case. "

I have children at this school and Yes my children use FaceBook,But I shall add they Know right from wrong, and were not part of this group! Facebook and the Internet is a safe place if used correctly, the children excluded from the school were not forced to join the website that got them excluded..Its not the website that is in the wrong here it's some of the people that use it! "So Andover losing another retail outlet, ok its just a costume shop and not exactly an all year round haunt for myself but its just another thing Andover doesnt have which mean we'll have to travel to another town or city to get these little bits and while we're there we'll probably spend money on things we didnt go there for and could of got in Andover but why do 2 journeys when 1 will do . HMV have gone after the X-mas rush so once again if you want to buy Non-chart cd's we;ll have to shop elsewhere or go online. When are the people that make the decisions on what is or in our case in't in Andover going to realize that we have nothing... end of! we have pubs, coffee shops and a pathetic excuse for a shopping center and its never going to snare the likes of HMV, H&M, BHS and my favourite.. Subway until they wise up, lower the extortionate rents that are being inflicted on business. Once we get a few big names surely some other big names will follow suit. Andover could be a great little shopping destination if some people will let go of what the town wat 30, 40, 50 years ago and let it modernise and expand otherwise it will die a death and be full of boozers from the many pubs holding betting slips while writing a card out to their neighbour who slipped on the ungritted roads trying to get the bus to the train station to go to Basingstoke where they would have met a friend for lunch at a Subway after fluttering around HMV even thought they went there for new shows for the kids who go to a school that is closed because of the ice.. By the way Im playing a gig at The Globe tonight, can anyone bring me a mothersday card ????"

They obviously didn't need to close the school last week, but just fancied ANOTHER couple of days off! So at the moment, we're not getting much for or Council Tax, Schools Closed, No gritting, No Rubbish collections!....I knew TVBC had a shortfall of money, and this is how they're trying to claw some of it back!"

"1) Andover needs more entertainment places, clothes and music stores instead of pubs, restaurants, phone/card/betting shops and estate agents. 2) Later bus services need to be provided as people without cars have to struggle to find transport when a film has finished after 8pm or they can only catch a later showing. Having a shuttle bus on Sundays would allow people to get full use of their megariders as well as access to the town centre. 3)The driveway for launcelot close needs to be sorted out as people who park their vehicles in the bottom car parks have a hard time getting up the hill when its icy. However, if grit bins were provided, kids would only trash them. 5)How about getting first offenders and those who have shovels to help clear the pathways of ice and snow to make it safer for everyone to get from A to B."

"I am problably the only one who is loving the snow in Andover. It is a shame that everything stops with a few flakes. The roads (A,B,C and D) all can be treated. Snow plows, even with only one in andover (if we have one, I dont know) could have cleared alot of the minor roads for most of the ice, leaving it less dence. We have has days of this weather, schools should have been only shut for the first day, town schools are a walkable distance, and you can walk the paths, only carefully, but you can get there. Most of Andovers population has been walking to thier destinations this week because of the roads. Out of town schools, ok, some may be out of reach, but surley town schools?!!! Teachers could make it in, helpers could, any parent willing to help local could make it in. Get some lessons from Canada, scratch that idea its suggesting that our council take paid time to travel to Canada to study their combat on snow. How about gritting bins on the corners of streets, so if this happens again at least the road and path can have some treatment. I love the snow and would love more, but it disables this council ability to work together and keep things running."

On a saturday i go in to town to get a few bits and visit one of the many bookmakers. I find however that once i have finished what i am doing i find this town very depressing. Even though i vist the bookmakers, i do believe that a small "market town" such as ours does not need 5 of them. We don't need multiple of our types of shop as well, the town centre is dated and lacks anything of interest. Where are the Debenhams and BHS of this world, why do we put shops like Next and the range on the outskirts of the town centre. It seems to me that as soon as a company asks for a shop this council bites their hands off and just says yes to anything. I also know that as i write this nothing will change, we are the sort out town that has to be satisfied with what we get. We have a cinema now, what more do you want, enjoy that more. Your getting a poundland, that will keep them happy for a year or two. Wrong, Andover is to big now to keep using the market town excuse, it is time the powers that be realised that and did something about it."

We pay more and get less each year. Isn't it time the pathetic made up job titles went and proper plans put in place to adhere to health and safety, something all councils bang on about but do nothing. We are expected to abide by these petty rules whilst they carry on doing nothing. There's more salt in a light pack of Walkers Crisps than there is in places that has had the privaledge of having some grit dished out. "I have tried to contact the council many times about the footpath between the Folly and Charlton. It is a great path used by many young and old. It has great trees, bushes, shrubs and wildlife. If you have not walked it give it a try. Parts of the path are well kept up but others are not to the extent that a tree is now blocking the path between the old park and the footbridge to the Folly. This area needs to be sorted out as this tree coming down in the gales could have hurt someone and now this part of the footpath is blocked. I mentioned this problem of the management of this section to the council prior to the gales but did not get any reply to my mails. I would not advocate the wholesale chopping down of trees just that it is managed properly, like getting rid of the Ivy which was the probable cause. Maybe you can help. Regards, Norman"
