Meadows in the Morning

“Well think about how you feel about getting up in the morning, and then spare a thought for the chap on the radio who has to get up even earlier to be on that radio,” chuckles Iain Meadows before he adds “we’re all in this together, so I promise, no cheese, but a bloke who knows what it’s like and will try and make it a better experience, without being insincere about it. A real human approach!”

And that’s it in a nutshell. A human approach. Yes, there will be national and local news, up to the minute travel information and music (good stuff too, no self indulgent disappearing up his own musical back alley stuff, he can do that at home!).

We’ll also tell you the time! It infuriates the hell out of Meadows when morning radio types forget that people have deadlines to meet, and a mention of what time it is means you can disappear into the bathroom without your watch!

But more than that, it’s a sense of the day. What’s topical? What can we get a laugh out of? What uplifts the cynic?

“Meadows in the Morning” is irreverent, in the best of British ways, whilst being a show that really does set you up for the day ahead. It’s a human show with a real person. We dare you to try it and then tell us that you’re not impressed, although Meadows himself has warned us he does have a silly side too!
